INNOVATIVE SHORT-TERM AND INTENSIVE THERAPY
in High Functioning Trauma, Depression and Anxiety Disorder
Anne Denk, clinical trauma therapist, specializing in short-term and intensive therapy with EMDR and IFS
Profound change does not come from insight, but from processing.
Many people with high-functioning trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders have long understood their patterns – and yet experience little emotional change.
The reason lies in how the brain stores stressful experiences: not primarily as thoughts, but as implicit, physical-emotional memories in the nervous system.
In my work I combine two of the most effective evidence-based approaches to modern trauma therapy: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
EMDR enables direct neurobiological processing of unprocessed experiences.
IFS provides access to the inner parts that have organized, protected, or compensated for these experiences over the years.
The combination creates a precise therapeutic process:
Protective aspects are understood and regulated, while distressing memories can actually be integrated.
